Chipton-Ross is seeking a Health Nurse Employee 3 for a contract opportunity in Palmdale, CA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Associates degree in Nursing.
o 4 or more years of experience as an RN.
o CPR/BLS certification.
o Active CA RN license.
o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, e-mail and internet navigation.
o Strong presentation skills.
o Ability to work independently or with a team on special projects.
o Excellent written/oral communication and interpersonal skills.
o Strong attention to detail.
o Ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously.
o Ability to maintain confidential documents and information.
o Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects at one time under tight deadlines.
o Ability to function within all levels of organization and at various locations.
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN).

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities. Delivers OSHA and job/site required surveillance program services such as hearing conservation or biological monitoring to employee populations in collaboration with appropriate functional teams.
Responsibilities:
o Maintains accurate recordkeeping in compliance with OSHA requirements;
o Assists with managing workers' compensation cases;
o Assists with managing the paid transitional duty program;
o Reviews return to work medical reports;
o Provides health promotion and disease prevention strategies;
o Provides counseling, health education and training programs as applicable.
o May work with industrial toxicology and/or hygienists to recognize environmental factors and/or stresses in or from the workplace that may cause sickness, impaired health, or discomfort among the workers
o May work with occupational safety and health engineers to analyze injury causes.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
o Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.
o 2+ years in occupational health.
o Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation (CAOHC).
o Spirometry (NIOSH approved course optimal).
o Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN).

REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Associates Degree is required.
School must be accredited.

WORK HOURS:
4/10 workweek. 2nd shift 2:00 PM - 12:30 AM M-Th.
