Job Description

The Admissions nurse fulfills a critical role at Rosewood at The Groves. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic self-starter with at least two years of experience in a skilled nursing facility and will have excellent communication and organizational skills. We are a large skilled facility, with short term rehab, and long term care, with a strong focus on providing outstanding customer service and care. Our admissions nurses work closely with the admissions coordinator to review and accept referrals in a timely manner. This position requires strong critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills in a fast paced work environment. Qualifications:

• Preferable registered Nurse (RN), but would consider LPN with experience
• Minimum 2 years of Long-Term Care experience required
• Should be organized and detailed oriented.
• A strong and positive team member
• Excellent communication skills
• Basic computer skills Responsibilities:
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday from 8 hour shifts, flexible hours dependent on departmental needs.
• Responsibility of the Admission Nurse is to establish a compassionate environment, while providing support to residents & their families
• Provide information to residents & staff by answering questions and requests
• Maintain a safe & clean working environment by following rules & regulations
• Oversee all aspects of the admission process for new admits to the facility.
