Job Description

This position is responsible for assisting regional Customers with technical issues related to the start-up, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and troubleshooting of centrifugal, rotary screw, and reciprocating air compressors.

Responsibilities Include:

• With a high degree of customer service, install and service air compressors, air compressor products, and accessories
• Provide on-site technical support, service, preventative maintenance, testing, and repair of customers’air compressor equipment
• Act as a source of knowledge for customers and co-workers with the ability to explain system capabilities and operations, along with features and benefits
• Understand customer needs, answer questions, recommend corrective actions, and optimize sales to exceed customer expectations
• Complete all necessary paperwork, including work orders, service orders, customer contracts, and company forms
• Consistently exhibit a professional appearance and conduct
• Follow all safety procedures, environmental guidelines, and company rules and regulations
• Manage unused materials

Requirements &  Qualifications:

• HS Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
• Minimum 3 years of air compressor service technician experience required
• Knowledge of air compressors or other pneumatic mechanical equipment, with strong electrical knowledge preferred
• Technical aptitude, analytical ability, problem-solving, and process analysis skills are essential
• The ability to comprehend and utilize written technical information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications is essential
• Solid understanding of how to create a highly satisfied customer
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively
• Experience using mechanic tools, basic hand tools, pipe installation tools, and equipment maintenance knowledge required
• Good judgment skills with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
• Ability to travel to customer sites, off-site meetings, company-related functions, at times with short notice
• Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently within a team-focused environment
• Good hand-eye coordination, excellent manual dexterity, able to work with small, detailed objects
• Ability to move frequently, including walking, stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling; lift 25 to 50 pounds
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and good MVR
