Job Description

The Billing Specialist is responsible for all functions of medical billing, follow-up and collection. A successful candidate in this role must be able to think logically, to troubleshoot and perform tasks in a fast paced work environment. Candidates should be comfortable verifying patients' insurance coverage, answering patients' billing questions and maintaining patient confidentiality.This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enter the medical field. • Verification of client’s insurance
• Prepare and submit claims
• Monitor payments for any lapses and send out patient statements
• Reconcile payments
• Work denied claims and send appeals when necessary
• Answer billing questions over the telephone
• Performs other tasks as directed by manager

Qualifications

• Experience and comfort with utilizing a variety of computer applications including, but not limited to Email & Excel
• Ability to maintain a calm and friendly demeanor with clients, insurance companies and co-workers
• Team Player, someone able to work independently & with a team.
• Billing experience is a plus but not required.
