We are adding to our Building InspectionTeam! You'll inspect all phases of construction for code compliance across multiple disciplines,including building, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical. You'll also assist with code enforcement,business license reviews,plan checks, and serve as a public representative for the City of Branson. MINIMUM REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING One (1) year of experience as a Building Inspector is required. A High School diploma or GED equivalent is required. Three (3) years of experience in construction trades is required. Must possess or obtain within six (6) months of hire date, a minimum of three (3) of the following inspection certifications:International Code Council (ICC) Building, ICC Plumbing, ICC Electrical, ICC Residential, or ICC Mechanical. Certification must be current and maintained during term of employment. Additional licenses or certifications may be required for this position. PREFERED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND TRAINING Graduation from an accredited technical school program is preferred. MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS Must be at least 18 years of age. Must possess a valid driver's license and must be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. Must possess no felony convictions at any time while employed by the City of Branson. Must be able to pass a background investigation and drug and alcohol screenings. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: The starting hourly wage is $23.25perhour and will increase to$24.18per hour after 6 months of successful probation.
