Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Part-Time Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for constructing, repairing, and maintaining various degrees of work scopes throughout our Chicagoland locations. This includes working on general repairs, mounting load bearing equipment, assembly of commercial grade equipment, and any other carpentry-related tasks that help enhance the therapeutic environment for our children.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading all intermediate repairs at our Chicagoland locations.
• Construction of walls, framing insulating and dry wall
• Mounting load bearing structures.
• Build, install, and repair clinic equipment, furniture, shelves, and appliances.
• Maintain and refurbish existing equipment and fixtures.
• Navigate internal ticketing system for assignments and projects
• Assessing issues for both internal and external spaces at our locations
• Ensure all carpentry work is done in a timely matter and professional matter.
• Attend Facility Meetings
• Collaborate with Front office employees and facilities team.
• Manage and maintain tools and materials.
• Follow all safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in a setting involving children or schools.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
Basic knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in carpentry.
Excellent problem-solving skills and creativity

Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions if needed

Requirements

• Must pass federal background check
• Experience in preventative maintenance and repair processes.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs
• High school degree
