Job Description
**Job Title: Cisco Network Engineer (Remote) - IRS preferred w/ some travel**
**Location- Remote w/ Light Travel**
**Clearance- Public Trust**

**Responsibilities:**
+ Design, configure, and maintain **Cisco-based network infrastructure** to support IRS operations.
+ Implement **network security protocols** , including firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
+ Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
+ Collaborate with IT teams to ensure **compliance with federal security standards** .
+ Provide **technical support** and documentation for network systems.
+ Conduct **network upgrades** and ensure high availability of IRS systems.
+ Work with **cloud-based networking solutions** and remote access technologies.
**Requirements:**
+ **7+ years of experience** in network engineering.
+ **CCIE or CCNA certification** (Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert / Cisco Certified Network Associate).
+ Expertise in **routing, switching, and network security** .
+ Familiarity with **government IT policies** and compliance standards.
+ Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
+ Ability to work **remotely** and collaborate with teams across different locations.
**Position Details:**
+ Pay Rate / Range: **$43.50-$53.00/hr**
