Technical Qualifications
Tool Expertise: Mastery of Collibra Data Quality & Observability; experience with Collibra Data Catalog (DGC) is highly preferred.
Languages: Strong proficiency in SQL (including Spark SQL) and experience with Python or Java for custom integrations.
Data Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Cloud Platform.
Governance: Deep understanding of data governance principles, including metadata management, data lineage, and stewardship.
Visualizations: Ability to export DQ metrics to BI tools like Tableau or PowerBI for senior management reporting.
Soft Skills
Analytical Thinking: Exceptional ability to detect statistical anomalies and identify the business impact of poor data quality.
Communication: Skilled at explaining technical data quality concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Project Management: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools like JIRA for tracking DQ initiatives.
A Collibra Data Quality (DQ) Analyst is a strategic technical role responsible for implementing and maintaining the Collibra Data Quality & Observability platform to ensure enterprise data is accurate, consistent, and fit for purpose.
Job Summary
The Collibra Data Quality Analyst will design, configure, and manage data quality rules and monitoring processes within the Collibra ecosystem. This role serves as a bridge between technical data engineering teams and business stakeholders, translating complex business requirements into actionable data quality scorecards and automated remediation workflows.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in identifying data-related risks and associated controls for key business processes. Risks related to Record Retention, Data Quality, Data Movement, Data Stewardship, Data Protection, Data Sharing among others
Identify data quality issues, perform root-case analysis of data quality issues and drive remediation of audit and regulatory feedback
Develop deep understanding of key enterprise data-elated policies and service as the policy expert for the business unit, providing education to teams regarding policy implications for business
Platform Management: Configure and maintain the Collibra Data Quality Center (formerly OwlDQ) and its integration with the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform (DIP).
Rule Development: Design and implement data quality checks (e.g., Spark SQL, regex) and validation rules to monitor accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
Data Profiling: Conduct automated and manual data profiling to identify patterns, statistical anomalies, and hidden behaviors in large datasets.
Monitoring & Observability: Build and manage data quality dashboards, scorecards, and automated alerts to track data health in real-time.
Responsible for monitoring data quality issues, communicating issues and driving resolution
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data stewards and business owners to define critical data elements (CDEs) and establish data quality thresholds.
Support current regulatory reporting needs via existing platforms, working with upstream data providers, downstream business partners as well as technology teams
Issue Remediation: Facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) for data issues and develop automated remediation workflows to track and resolve data defects.
