Job Description

We are looking for a Commissioning Technician to join our Guardian Bandsaw team. Over the past 7 years, we have expanded rapidly and we are located in Omaha, NE.

 
Position Overview:
Your primary role requires you to commission and install new equipment in various retail locations across the country – this means you will be the first to respond and be comfortable with being ready to be on site when needed.

We are seeking a skilled Bandsaw Commissioning Technician to install and commission Guardian Bandsaws at retail supermarket locations. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, experience with mechanical and electrical systems, and the ability to provide excellent customer service while ensuring equipment is installed and functioning to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and commission Guardian Bandsaws at retail supermarket locations.
• Ensure proper setup, calibration, and testing of equipment.
• Conduct safety checks and provide training to store personnel on proper usage and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation or operational issues.
• Maintain detailed records of installations, services performed, and customer feedback.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company guidelines during installations.
• Communicate effectively with customers, store managers, and internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Travel to various retail supermarket locations as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience in equipment installation, commissioning, or field service (preferably in the food retail industry).
• Technical background in mechanical, electrical, or industrial equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel 90-100% of the time.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience installing meat-cutting or food processing equipment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to bandsaws and food equipment.
• Certification in electrical or mechanical systems is a plus.
