Gary Rack’s Restaurant Group is a Farm to Table, market-driven, high volume restaurants!

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to oversee the financial operations of our 4 full service restaurants in South Florida.

 
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the accounting department, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the group’s growth. This role requires a strong understanding of restaurant accounting principles, cash management, and proficiency in various financial software applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the company’s restaurant accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, tax compliance, human resources, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports.
• Manage cash flow and develop strategies for effective cash management.
• Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Controller, or similar role, within a multi unit restaurant group.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks.
• Proficiency in cash management practices and general ledger reconciliation.
• Excellent understanding of debits, credits, accounts receivable and payable processes, and payroll management.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly.
