What To Expect
Tesla is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Damage Desk Appraiser to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for completing auto physical damage estimates with quality, efficiency, and following Tesla repair procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in writing auto damage estimates, being proficient in estimating software and expertise in the insurance industry. What You'll Do Conduct virtual reviews based on photos provided by the customer or body shop in an efficient mannerAccurately assess vehicle damages and complete a thorough estimate using proper repair proceduresAdheres to company claims procedures and guidelinesNegotiates with auto repair facilities and reaches agreement for cost of repairInspect and complete supplements in a timely mannerEvaluate the Actual Cash Value of a vehicle determined to be a total loss following company guidelinesIdentify and report underwriting concerns or evidence of external fraud to appropriate channels
What You'll Bring 3+ years’ experience as an auto damage appraiser with an insurance company or as a body shop writerExperience with major estimating softwareEffective organizational skillsEffective communication skillsAbility to complete work individually or in a team atmosphereOnsite presence is required everyday

Expected Compensation
$54,000 - $91,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
