A 311-bed acute care hospital in Las Vegas, NV is seeking an experienced Director of Emergency Services to lead a high-performing Emergency Department that includes 3 freestanding EDs (FSEDs) . The ED is known for its excellent team culture and quality of care. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership presence and the ability to maintain clinical excellence and operational accuracy .
Main ED Beds: 29
Main ED Volume: ~160 patients/day
FSEDs:
The Lakes: Up to 110 patients/day
South Vegas Blvd: 60–80 patients/day
Newest FSED: ~25 patients/day
Team Size: 96 FTEs + PRNs (~120 total staff)
Leadership Structure: 2 ED Managers (Main), 1 Manager (FSEDs)
Reports to: Associate Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO)
Provide 24/7 strategic and operational leadership over all ED locations
Lead staff recruitment, retention, and performance development
Maintain compliance with hospital, regulatory, and accreditation standards
Implement process improvements , monitor KPIs, and ensure patient satisfaction
Promote a team-focused, patient-first culture across all EDs
Participate in rounding, committee involvement, and strategic planning
Drive emergency services program growth and service line enhancement
BSN required
Master’s degree preferred (MSN, MBA, or MHA)
3+ years of emergency services experience required
3+ years of nursing leadership preferred
Active RN license in Nevada (or eligibility)
ACLS, BLS, and PALS or ENPC certifications required
Strong interpersonal, operational, and crisis management skills
