This is an exciting opportunity with one of our client in Houston which is a sports organization. They are looking for an experienced senior industry manager eager to drive financial excellence in a fast-paced, sports-focused environment. This role empowers you to lead the accounting for new investments across the sports vertical, applying comprehensive accounting principles including US GAAP and IFRS. You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and process efficiency. 

What will you do:

• Lead accounting and reporting for acquisitions and corporate investments across sports companies.
• Apply US GAAP and IFRS accounting guidance to complex transaction accounting.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure compliance and streamline accounting processes.
• Drive accounting process improvements and adherence to controls.
• Mentor junior accounting staff and provide technical accounting expertise.

What You’ll Bring:

• 10+ years of accounting experience or 7+ years of relevant experience which includes 4 years as a manager accounts. 
• Must have experience with 4 big public accounting firms.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS, and complex accounting transactions.
• Experience in sports, recreation, or multi-entity accounting environments is a plus.
