A Day in the Life of an Executive Sous Chef

As the Executive Sous Chef for our corporate dining facility near Covington GA, your day will be filled with culinary creativity, maintaining top-notch food safety standards, and leading a passionate, professional kitchen team. You'll be responsible for:

• Collaborating with the Executive Chef to create mouthwatering and innovative menus.
• Planning, organizing, and supervising daily culinary operations to ensure the highest level of quality.
• Mentoring and developing your sous chefs and kitchen staff.
• Managing food and labor costs, while maintaining a budget-friendly and efficient kitchen.
• Ensuring adherence to all local, state, and federal food safety regulations.

Requirements for Success:

We're looking for someone with:

• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Sous Chef, ideally in a corporate dining or upscale catering setting.
• Culinary school degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Clear and effective communication skills.
• Knowledge of various cuisines, dietary restrictions, and food preparation techniques.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays (with the exception of several major holidays off).
