Facilities Operations Manager
Position Overview
Futron is seeking a qualified Facilities Operations Manager  to oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of our facilities. This role is critical in ensuring the safety, security, and functionality of our physical work environment, enabling our team to focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients. This position is based onsite on Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations of company facilities, including office spaces, equipment, and amenities.
  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance and repairs of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security).
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Procure and manage vendor relationships for facility services (janitorial, landscaping, security).
  • Monitor and manage facility budgets, including forecasting and cost control.
  • Oversee space planning and utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on office expansions, relocations, or renovations.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues and safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and expenditures.
Qualifications
  • Education & Experience (one of the following):
    • Bachelor’s degree in facilities management, business administration, or related field plus 3+ years of experience .
    • Associate degree in a related field plus 4+ years of experience .
    • 6+ years of facilities management experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Active Secret Clearance required.
  • Knowledge of building systems and maintenance procedures (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, security).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and vendors.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with proven prioritization skills.
  • Detail-oriented problem solver with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and facility management software (preferred).
Compensation & Position Details
  • Classification: Full-time salaried, Non-Exempt
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
  • Pay Schedule: Biweekly (26 pay periods per year)
  • Overtime: Not authorized
Paid Leave & Holidays
  • Personal Leave: 80 hours annually (40 hours may carry over; not paid out upon separation)
  • Sick Leave: 7 days annually
  • Holidays: 12 paid U.S. federal holidays
