Staff Management Group is seeking a Forklift Operator for our client in Elizabeth, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 2nd Shift: 2PM - 10:30PM
• Plus Overtime

Pay Rate:

• $17 / hour 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate a Cherry Picker in a refrigerated warehouse environment (34°F). This role involves working in cold conditions, handling inventory at elevated heights, and following all warehouse safety protocols.

Job Responsibilities:

• Operate a Cherry Picker forklift to retrieve and store products in a cold storage environment.
• Navigate high racking systems to pick and stage inventory accurately and safely.
• Wear appropriate cold-weather gear, including required work boots and safety vest.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain awareness of surroundings in a temperature-controlled facility.
• Perform daily equipment checks to ensure safe operation of the forklift.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials throughout the warehouse.
• Use RF scanners or inventory systems to update and track product movement.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the work area.
• Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure efficient workflow.

Job Requirements:

• Must have experience operating a Cherry Picker forklift.
• Comfortable working in a 34°F cold storage environment; must dress appropriately for the temperature.
• Must wear work boots and an orange safety vest as part of required PPE.
• Strong attention to safety, focus, and the ability to work independently in cold conditions.
