We are seeking a Freight Dispatcher to coordinate the daily movement of freight shipments efficiently and effectively. The Freight Dispatcher will ensure orders are fulfilled promptly while delivering exceptional customer service. This role demands excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Freight Dispatcher Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the pickup, delivery, and tracking of freight shipments.
• Monitor shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
• Maintain open communication with customers, carriers, and transportation personnel.
• Update and manage order statuses in the transportation management system.
• Address customer issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
• Notify customers of any delays or potential issues.
• Monitor driver hours of service and schedule required breaks or rest periods.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
• Negotiate rates to maintain optimal company margins.

Freight Dispatcher Requirements and Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of freight dispatching experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Negotiation skills are essential.
• Proficient in transportation management systems, Microsoft Office, and related software.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-pressure environment.
• Flexibility to work weekends and nights as needed.
