Job Summary:
We are seeking a friendly, professional and reliable Front Desk Medical Receptionist to join our growing North Shore Podiatry, PC team. The ideal candidate is one who is comfortable with a flexible schedule and who can adapt to varying shifts, including mornings, afternoons, and the occasional weekend as needed. As the first point of contact with our patients, the successful candidate for this position must be committed to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast paced medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients and visitors warmly, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive first impression
• Schedule appointments efficiently using medical scheduling software; verify patient insurance coverage through insurance verification processes
• Collect patient information accurately, update electronic health records (EHR systems), and review documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Answer multi-line phone systems promptly with professional phone etiquette; direct calls appropriately
• Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, including taking copays and other fees at time of service
• Clean and prepare exam rooms between patient visits, ensuring a sanitary and organized environment; escort patients to room as appropriate
• Assist with general administrative and clerical duties as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or bachelor degree preferred
• Proven experience in a medical office setting or front desk setting preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic insurance protocols a plus
• Superior computer and technical skills; medical scheduling software a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to multitask efficiently and stay calm under pressure
• Flexible availability to work variable shifts
