Responsibilities for a German Translator include but are not limited to: - Transcribe audio and video content accurately and phonetically in German - Review and perform quality checks on transcriptions completed by others - Ensure linguistic accuracy and adherence to formatting and tagging guidelines - Develop assessments and training materials to onboard and upskill new transcribers - Provide feedback and suggest process improvements for consistency and quality at scale - Collaborate with the U.S. team to coordinate priorities, timelines, and quality standards Candidates for German Translator must meet the following requirements to be considered: - Prior professional experience in translation and transcription in German - Strong attention to spelling, grammar, punctuation, and non-speech events (e.g., laughter, background sounds) - Ability to maintain a high accuracy rate under tight deadlines - Strong reviews or reputation on ProZ (preferred) - Familiarity with slang or medical terminology (strong plus) - Must be able to work 40 hours per week - Experience with multimedia content (audio/video transcription) and linguist QA - Bachelor's degree required What's in this German Translator position for you? - Pay Rate:  - California: $ 44.82/hr  - All Other States: $ 46.42/hr - Shift: Mon-Fri, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM - Weekly paycheck - Dedicated Onboarding Specialist and Recruiter - Access to Adecco's Aspire Academy with thousands of free upskilling courses Important Notes: - Remote, freelance contractor role (40 hrs/week) - Attendance and punctuality are essential; unexcused absences or tardiness may result in dismissal This German Translator position is being recruited for by one of our Centralized Delivery Team and not your local Branch.
