Lucid Motors is seeking a Hardware Technician / 3D Print Technician to join our Special Tooling department. In this role, you will operate and maintain 3D printing equipment while supporting the development of our in-house prototyping capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Operate and maintain 3D printing equipment. Provide DFAM feedback and recommend materials and processes. Perform post-processing and finishing of printed parts. Support small-volume production runs. Assist with assembly and packaging of mechanical special tooling. Support additional group equipment as needed. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; technical certification or equivalent hands-on experience in mechanical, manufacturing, or related fields preferred. 1–2 years of experience operating 3D printing equipment in a professional capacity (or demonstrated experience with 3D printing). Good understanding of material selection, differences, process suitability, and performance trade-offs. Strong DFAM competency to provide feedback and guidance to the engineering team. Knowledge and experience with post-processing and finishing techniques. Basic knowledge of CAD systems, preferably 3DX (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX, or similar). Proficient working knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other standard office software.
