Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Histotechnologist/Histotechnician working from our laboratory in Pittsburgh, PA @ Nova Place location, with a start date on or before June 19, 2025.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF Laboratory, Histologist

A typical day for the Histologist entails performing basic histology tasks such as embedding, cutting, and routine H&E staining. You'll focus on dermatological and gastrointestinal specimens in a specialized reference lab, handle quality control, preventative maintenance, SOP reviews, and cut tissue microarrays (TMAs). Most of the day involves managing workflows, cutting specimens, and staining slides for accurate processing.

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum Requirements
  • AA degree and/or Histotechnician (AA) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
  • 2-5 years of clinical histology experience
  • Track towards ASCP Histotechnician/Histotechnologist certification within 2 years
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration, and independent thought
  • Knowledge of clinical histology lab methodologies, regulatory requirements, and laboratory techniques

SCHEDULE/TRAVEL

• Full-time, 8-hour day (07:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday)
• Minimal travel, primarily based in Pittsburgh.

Salary Range: $45,468 - $75,524 + 20% Bonus Potential
