​HR Generalist / Recruiter

Full Time Position: (Business hours M-F)

Bachman’s Human Resources has an opening for experienced HR Generalist / Recruiter who is skilled in full cycle talent acquisition, general HR experience, and answering employee and manager inquiries.  If you are able and interested in producing written training material to support companies’ overall objectives and legal compliance that would be a plus! Prior UKG experience preferred.
The HR Generalist/Recruiter role entails working across the human resources disciplines of recruitment, onboarding, training, job evaluations, compensation, benefits, employee & labor relations, employment law compliance, and HRIS. Provide input and assist in the development of policies and procedures and ensure consistent application of all policies and procedures.

POSITION DUTIES:
Talent Acquisition / Recruitment
  • Develops and implements strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent.
  • Identify talent acquisition challenges and utilize sourcing strategies that exist to develop recruiting efforts that effectively generate top quality talent.
  • Build applicant sources and implement creative recruiting resources to attract qualified candidates. Identify best practices for attracting talent: job advertisements, job boards, candidate tracking systems, personal or professional networks and various social tools geared towards passive job seekers.
  • Maintain relationships with hiring managers in order to stay abreast of current and future talent needs.
  • Manage and coordinate appropriate communications with candidates throughout the recruiting process (from screening and interview through hiring). Review and interview applicants ensuring they are the best applicants for the role based on job requirements, physical requirements and compensation range.
  • Manage interview schedules with supervisors.
  • Extend verbal and written offers to candidates, working with supervisors, if negotiation is needed.
  • Ensures regulatory aspects of the full-cycle recruitment process are compliant with federal and state legislation. Maintains and promotes EEOC compliance during recruitment and hiring process.
  • Lead and partner with managers in organizing in company sponsored recruiting events including college job fairs and related recruiting meetings and events.

Generalist / Business Partner

  • Develop requirements, specifications and/or make recommendations regarding workflows and processes for UKG and JazzHR. (Ex: Can include applicant flow communication tools, successful onboard in UKG.)
  • Develops and schedules standard reports for ongoing internal/external customer needs. Ensures ongoing delivery of automated reports. Maintains data integrity in systems by running queries, analyzing and correcting data as needed.
  • Partner with Benefits/HRIS Manager for ongoing training of UKG system use for managers and employees. Develop/Partner on employee tools to help them utilize UKG.
  • Make salary often recommendations and partner with hiring manager to make competitive offers based on candidate requirements, Bachman’s compensation system, internal equity and budget.
  • Ensure integrity between payroll and benefit transactions entered into UKG.
  • Partner with Benefits Manager on coordination and administration of company benefit programs for new hires. Assist with United Way enrollment changes.
  • Develop a schedule to assess training needs. Conceptualize training materials. Create training strategies, initiatives, and materials. Tailoring training style to the needs of the recipients.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources team on training materials and delivery of training. Track training and outcomes. Create processes to ensure best practice is being used to create, implement and analyze training.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employees and management.
  • Maintains visibility with all employees and assists with addressing basic employee relations issues and concerns that are identified in a timely and professional manner. Respond to employee questions regarding human resources policies and procedures.
  • Work with Managers regarding Union employee matters in a timely and professional manner. Ex: Job postings, interviews, compensation scale.
  • Troubleshoot and solve employee issues with UKG.
  • Manage the delegations for UKG Time Management to ensure temporary managers can approve employees from other department’s timesheets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field. 
  • PHR certification a plus.
  • Three plus years’ experience in a HR Generalist / Recruiter role.
  • Experience with writing reports; researching and creating training, and business correspondence.
  • Strong working knowledge and application of state and federal laws relating to Human Resources to ensure compliant training.
  • Demonstrated successful recruitment sourcing techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written required at all levels
  • Familiar with union contract wage rates and administration of applicable language when creating training(s), posting(s) and filling jobs.
  • Previous experience with an ATS and HRIS database systems (e.g. UKG and JazzHR).
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office (computer skills are strongly utilized in this position).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment; willingness to collaborate is vital.
  • Self-starter. Takes ownership and accountability of assigned tasks and projects.
  • Innovative thinker, able and willing to streamline processes and drive efficiencies.


This is a full-time on-site position.

Compensation: $60,000-70,000
