Job Description

Description We are looking for an experienced and dedicated 3+ year Criminal Defense Attorney to join our law firm client's team in the Gilbert / Chandler, Arizona area. This role involves managing a variety of defense cases, primarily misdemeanors, while working in a hybrid environment. If you have a strong background in criminal law and enjoy collaborating in a flexible work setting, we encourage you to apply. Two days a week in-office and three days remote. Responsibilities: - Represent clients in criminal defense cases, focusing primarily on misdemeanors. - Conduct thorough legal research and prepare legal briefs, motions, and other necessary documentation. - Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients throughout the legal process. - Appear in court to advocate on behalf of clients during hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop effective defense strategies and case plans. - Manage case files efficiently using document and case management software. - Handle client complaints and claims with professionalism and adherence to ethical standards. - Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring clear and consistent communication. - Stay updated on the latest developments in criminal law to provide informed legal representation. Requirements - A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing criminal law, with a focus on defense cases. Former prosecutors are encouraged to apply. - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in Arizona. - Proficiency in legal tools such as case management software, and document management systems. - Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. - Proven ability to handle a variety of cases effectively, including misdemeanor cases. - Excellent oral and written communication skills, with experience presenting cases in court. - Familiarity with civil litigation and briefing processes is a plus. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases while maintaining attention to detail.
