A confidential technology and infrastructure leader is seeking a Junior Network Engineer to support mission-critical network and security operations. This is a high-visibility position within a secure data environment, providing hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, and SCADA Telemetry systems.
Firewall Operations & Security
Provide daily operational support of enterprise firewalls, including configuration, troubleshooting, and proactive monitoring.
Manage firewall rules, access policies, and security protocols to maintain network compliance and DataClear standards.
Assist senior engineers with firewall changes and upgrades in a 24/7 mission-critical environment.
Network Infrastructure Support
Collaborate with network and systems engineers on the maintenance of switches, routers, and critical network components.
Support SCADA Telemetry systems to ensure high availability and secure communications.
Respond to and resolve incident management tasks quickly and accurately, using tools such as ServiceNow.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, rule changes, and incident resolutions.
Participate in team reviews and contribute to network security process improvements.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
Background in network engineering or systems engineering, with exposure to enterprise switches and routers.
DataClear Certification (or equivalent security/compliance credential) required.
Familiarity with firewall management, network security best practices, and incident response protocols.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
