Description A boutique California-based employment law firm dedicated to protecting worker rights is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to support its growing team on a fully remote, open-ended contract basis. The firm represents employees in single-plaintiff, class action, and PAGA matters and is expanding due to increased case volume. The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented paralegal with substantial California employment litigation experience who is confident managing discovery, drafting pleadings, and organizing complex case files with minimal supervision. Paralegals with strong civil litigation backgrounds and plaintiff-side class action experience will also be considered. This role is best suited for a California-based professional who thrives in a fast-paced, fully remote environment. Responsibilities: + Provide full litigation support in employment matters, including case intake, discovery, class certification, and trial preparation. + Draft and respond to written discovery, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission. + Prepare and revise pleadings, motions, declarations, and correspondence for attorney review. + Coordinate with clients to gather information, draft declarations, and prepare discovery responses. + Organize and maintain case files, discovery databases, and evidence binders; track deadlines and manage case calendars. + Assist attorneys with factual investigation, document review, deposition preparation, and trial readiness. + Support class and PAGA cases by maintaining class member data, tracking right-to-sue notices, and compiling evidentiary materials. Requirements Qualifications: + Minimum 5 years of California litigation paralegal experience required. + Employment litigation experience (plaintiff or defense-side) strongly preferred; civil litigation paralegals with plaintiff class action experience encouraged to apply. + Demonstrated ability to draft discovery, prepare declarations, and manage multiple active litigation matters. + Strong understanding of California civil procedure and discovery rules. + Excellent writing, organizational, and client communication skills. + Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while maintaining strong attention to detail. + Bachelor's degree and/or ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, preferred but not required. + This is a fully remote opportunity, but candidates must be based in California be willing to use personal PC/Windows computer for this assignment Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
