Job Summary

Our client is seeking a Machinist II who assists in maintaining plant production by making repairs within the scope of expertise, interprets and follows through on work orders following various safe work procedures, and makes mechanical repairs on plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis..

Job Description

• Assists in maintaining plant production by making repairs within the scope of expertise
• Interprets and follows through on work orders following various safe work procedures
• Makes mechanical repairs on plant equipment and performs preventive maintenance on a scheduled basis
• Learns to identify equipment malfunctions and repair before catastrophic failure
• Begins to develop expertise in a specialized skill
• Operates manual machining equipment or machine shop (Lathes and Mills)
• Interacts with peers, supervisor, and internal/external customers
• May work on special projects with peers from other work groups

Skills Required

• Ability to read and interpret routine instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations (Mfg.)
• Sets up, monitors, and operates various equipment associated with the manufacturing facility requirements (Mfg.)
• May operate multiple machines simultaneously (Mfg.)
• May perform quality assurance activities as required by manufacturing/engineering specifications and ISO requirements
  

Education/Training/Certifications

• High School Diploma

Additional Requirements

• Special Equipment Required: Hard Steel Boots and safety glasses
• Start Day of week: Monday (8 hours per day)

Pay Rate/Salary

• $25.00 - $26.00/hr.
