Job Description

We are looking for a Mechanics Technician to join our innovative and fast-growing company. The position requires self motivation and aspiration to further develop in a technology driven company that operates in the offshore industry. The candidate will assist in the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of all types of Engines and mechanical assemblies. Work includes engineering setups, installations, testing and repair. Qualified candidates will be keen to develop troubleshooting and hands on problem-solving skills. Work includes traveling to employer sites (domestically and globally) as required to implement projects/repairs.

Responsibilities

Installations/ assemblies and maintenance of all types of engines

• Assists in assembling and installing, testing, and maintaining engines, components, and systems, using hand tools and power tools
• Follow maintenance and trouble shoot procedures for Cranes, Winches, Fortclifts, ecscavators, cars, tracks etc.)
• Ensures that installation and operation conform to standards and requirements according to technical manuals
• Learns to confirm engines' and components' capabilities by using applicable testing methods
• Assists in keeping equipment operational by following instructions and established procedures
• Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments independently and judgment in determining which of many methods are applicable
• Knowledge and ability to work hands-on in order to trouble-shoot and maintain current and future test and support equipment

General

• Works with a variety of technicians
• Assists senior and lead engineers as required
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Provides input into improvement ideas

Other

• Regularly traveling to employer sites (domestically and globally) as required to implement projects/repairs

• Participate in offshore project teams

Requirements

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in mechanical engineering

• Training in Motor Mechanics theory such as one would receive at a technical trade school, or University etc.

• Must-have a mechanical background

• Experience in any type of engines maintenance will be an asset

• Clear and effective oral and written communication skills both in Greek & English languages

• Additional working knowledge of foreign languages (e.g., Italian) are to be considered as extra skills
