Medical Billing Manager

As a Medical Billing Manager, you'll oversee the medical billing team, ensuring efficient and accurate billing practices while driving improvements in revenue cycle management. Your role will involve ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, optimizing cash flow, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor the medical billing team, guiding them in day-to-day procedures and resolving issues as they arise.
Oversee the timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies, ensuring all requirements are met.
Monitor payment processing, manage denials, and implement adjustments as needed to optimize revenue.
Ensure that patient accounts are processed, billed, and resolved efficiently and promptly.
Maintain strict adherence to federal, state, and payer-specific regulations, including HIPAA compliance.
Stay up-to-date with changes in coding, billing, and insurance guidelines to ensure accuracy.
Develop and implement strategies to reduce outstanding balances, improving accounts receivable management.
Analyze billing metrics and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to streamline workflows and improve revenue cycle efficiency.
Investigate and resolve escalated billing issues, working directly with patients and insurance providers.
Work closely with coding teams to ensure accurate documentation and claim submissions.
Prepare and present comprehensive financial and operational reports, providing actionable insights for improving billing processes and profitability.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in medical billing, with a deep understanding of revenue cycle management.
Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and developing teams.
In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and payer-specific requirements.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Must be a resident of New York State.
