How You’ll Help Transform Healthcare:

The Mental Health Therapists provides therapeutic services to patients from young adult through advanced adulthood. Services include provision of initial assessment, individual, family and group therapy. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary team.

Assesses patient’s need for non-medical services within the parameters of the treatment plan. Works as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.

 

• Provides individual, family and group therapy.
• Develops and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients in the individual, family and group setting.
• Coordinates the patient’s treatment with the multidisciplinary treatment team, patient’s family, referral source and aftercare provider. Makes appropriate discharge plans.
• Records patient data in the medical record to include the psychosocial assessment, group, family and individual progress notes and discharge plans/appointments.
• Works cooperatively with other members of the Clinical Programs Department and treatment team, provides coverage and arranges coverage when needed.
• Observes and documents data reflective of the patients’ status, interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient’s requirements relative to his or her age and specific needs, and provides the care needed as described in departmental policies and procedures.

Art, Music or Recreational Therapy experience required

Days, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30 rotating weekends

What We Require:

Education: Masters in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.

Experience:  One to three years of related experience in Art, Music or Recreational Therapy required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills required. Must successfully complete orientation and competency validation for position.
