A leading health system in northern Kentucky is now seeking an experienced Nurse Director Emergency Services to join their award-winning healthcare team!

Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the Nurse Director Emergency Services will lead a high-performing 12-bed Emergency Department, overseeing 24/7 operations, staffing and scheduling, budget and resource management, and evidence-based clinical excellence to deliver safe, efficient, and compassionate emergency care. Daily responsibilities include optimizing patient flow and triage processes, monitoring KPIs and dashboards, coordinating stroke/STEMI/sepsis protocols, ensuring continuous survey readiness and regulatory compliance (EMTALA, Joint Commission, CMS), driving performance improvement and patient safety initiatives, mentoring and evaluating nursing staff, advancing education and competencies (BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC), partnering with physicians, EMS, and ancillary services, managing service recovery and patient experience, reviewing incidents and risks, standardizing policies and documentation in the EHR, and leading disaster preparedness and emergency management efforts.
