The Role You Will Play

• Reporting to the Chief Actuary, the Actuary, P&C will be responsible for a wide spectrum of work including rate filings, solvency work, reinsurance contracts and even emerging technologies.
• This role will review insurance company financial statements and rate filings, including adequacy, consistency, and transparency of key assumptions and methodologies.
• The Actuary, P&C will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and review pricing and insurance methodologies, provide insights, and recommend changes to regulatory leaders.
• This role will contribute to the setting of standards and models for best practices relating to rating, solvency, and planning processes, tools, monitors, and implementations.
• In this role you will be empowered to impact the insurance industry in a meaningful way, staying advised of industry trends, and keeping current on new techniques.

Background Profile

• 5+ years of actuarial experience within the P&C space
• Expertise with financial statement reserves and Statement of Actuarial Opinion as well as actuarial structure of Property & Casualty
• Working knowledge of insurance company operations
• Familiarity with various business software applications
• Bachelor’s degree and Credentialed by either SOA: ASA/FSA or CAS: ACAS/FCAS
