HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare is seeking an experienced medical physicist to join our growing radiation oncology team at the comprehensive cancer center located in Tallahassee, Florida. This full-time position is for a progressive, hands-on physicist with clinical experience. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment where collaboration and support between colleagues is encouraged. The clinical medical physicist is expected to actively participate in all aspects of radiotherapy, quality assurance, and implementation of new equipment and techniques. The candidate will be joining 3 radiation oncologists, 2.5 FTE physicists, 4.5 FTE dosimetrists, currently treating an average of 80 patients per day.
Our treatment services include IGRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT, and HDR/LDR brachytherapy utilizing Varian accelerators (one Novalis Tx, two Clinac iX), a GammaMedplus HDR afterloader, and a GE Discovery RT CT simulator. Our EMR and planning software consists of Aria, Eclipse (v16/15.6), iPlan and Velocity, and we have a host of Sun Nuclear QA equipment. The center is in the process of replacing the current linacs with the latest technology available from Varian.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO APPLY - Must have completed an approved master's level training program in Medical Physics as approved by the American Association of Medical Physicists.
- Two (2) years of directly related experience.
- Required Certification/License/Registry: Must possess and maintain current State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation-Therapeutic Radiological Physicist certificate.
