Sophos Speech and Academics is seeking an experienced educator who genuinely loves all students and has experience working with both the typical and the neurodivergent student population Our ideal candidate could be full or part-time but is available between the hours of 10-6 pm, M- F. Instructors have the ability to make their own schedule and choose their own students. Our ideal candidate is flexible, personable, knowledgeable, and relationship-focused. This position will work closely with teachers and parents to craft instruction that best suits the individual needs of students. Ideally, this candidate will provide custom instruction in a one-on-one setting. Responsibilities:

• Comfortable tutoring Spanish up to high school level
• Prepare for academic sessions
• Built rapport with the student
• Establish session expectations
• Assess student academic needs
• Follow Parent requests for sessions
• Provide student-centered instruction
• Collaborate with teachers and other private instructors
• Analyze student progress
• Adjust instruction
• Conference with parents

• Effective parent and student communication
• Highly reliable
• Comfortable with math up to 7th grade
• Professional educator
• Enjoys kids of all ages and abilities

• Flexible scheduling
