The Movement Science (MVS) and Applied Exercise Science (AES) programs in the The School of Kinesiology seek a team member to assist with the day-to-day operations and administration of the Movement Science and Applied Exercise Science programs. The position will report to the administratively to the MVS Program Chair and functionally to the AES Program Chair and MVS/AES Associate Program Chairs.

Based on programmatic needs, the selected employee will be required to work full-time onsite at the School of Kinesiology Building (Monday through Friday).

  • Manage program documentation and communications.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings by preparing materials. communicating agendas, taking notes, distributing minutes, and following-up on action items.
  • Support program chairs with planning and implementing curriculum and hiring plans.
  • Support financial management, including budgeting, purchasing, and expense reconciliation.
  • Assist the program chairs with managing workload and reviews for faculty and graduate assistants.
  • Perform other duties as needed to ensure the efficient and effective function of the program.
  • Supervise an administrative assistant supporting the MVS and AES programs.
  • Help monitor program account expenditures, support the purchase of supplies and maintain program resources and prepare and oversee the program budgets.
  • Track all expenses and provide budget updates to the program chairs.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years administrative support experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, or similar programs
  • Experience contributing to a positive workplace culture, and ability to consistently demonstrate our school's Core Values
