Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager for a smaller subcontractor in the civil construction space.
This role involves managing projects for a painting contractor specializing in NYSDOT and municipality work in Buffalo, NY.
The ideal candidate will have a strong history in construction management and civil projects, including bridge painting, water tank painting, and rehabs.
Responsibilities
Manage up to 6 projects simultaneously, with a total value of up to $5 million.
Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget, contributing to yearly revenue of $10M - $20M.
Review and understand project plans and specifications.
Perform take-offs and estimating for various projects.
Handle project management from start to finish, including change orders and RFIs.
Work closely with 2 other Project Managers and collaborate with 4 different foremen.
Occasionally visit project sites while primarily working in the office.
Utilize Excel for project management tasks.
Essential Skills
Experience in construction management and project management within the civil construction industry.
Proficiency in reading and understanding project plans and specifications.
Skills in estimating, take-offs, and managing change orders.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong Excel skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to work well with others and demonstrate adaptability.
Personable and able to collaborate effectively with various team members.
Work Environment
This position is primarily office-based with occasional site visits.
The work involves collaborating with two other Project Managers and four different foremen.
The role requires proficiency in Excel and the ability to manage multiple civil construction projects simultaneously.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $55.00/hr.
