Job Description

A top tier, publicly traded company is looking for a few Property Accountants to join their team. Reporting directly to the Director of Operational Accounting, these Property Accountant roles will focus on building out monthly financial statements, assist with forecasting and budgeting and help with the preparation of reporting schedules. These are excellent roles for top performing Property Accountants with 1 - 3 years of real estate accounting experience or a public accountant looking to work with one of the largest publicly traded companies in Milwaukee.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all aspects of the financial statement package, including creating and posting journal entries, general ledger review and completion of bank reconciliations
• Coordinate month-end close and production of financial statements
• Prepare CAM reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets and analyze variances
• Analyze variances in financial statements and provide explanations to management
• Assist with internal and external audit requests
• Review set up of real estate leases and amendment
• Assist with setting up accounting procedures for newly acquired properties

Requirements

• Bachelors in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 1+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting a plus
• Real estate accounting/leasing experience a plus
• Highly proficient with Excel
• Yardi and/or MRI experience a plus
• Excellent communication skills and thrives in a collaborative environment
