Psychiatrists are encouraged to consider a unique part-time consulting opportunity with Liberty Healthcare at DHCI - a skilled nursing facility located in Smyrna, Delaware.
In this role, you will provide psychiatric care to older adults; people who have loss of cognitive functioning: individuals who have experienced traumatic brain injury; those who are experiencing mental illness; people who have substance use disorders; and those experiencing end of life issues.
While you’re with us, you will collaborate with our medical and nursing staff; conduct mental status examinations, formulate diagnoses, and develop and implement treatment plans; prescribe and manage medications; and provide psychiatric consultation and education to clinical staff as well as patients’ families and guardians.
You will enjoy a very small caseload, which will afford you ample time to spend with your patients and our staff. We have a collegial and patient-focused environment.
You will be paid by Liberty Healthcare for each hour worked at a mutually agreeable rate. No insurance billing is required, and your services would be covered by Liberty Healthcare’s liability insurance policy.
We offer a flexible schedule. Our ideal is approximately 8-hours of service weekly (32 hours of service monthly) but we have flexibility based on your availability and schedule.
You are a good fit for this consulting role if you are licensed as a Medical Doctor or Doctor of Osteopathy in the State of Delaware and have successfully completed a residency in Psychiatry.
