JOB SUMMARY

Drives haul truck to transport large rocks to and from specified destinations. Operate haul truck within the mine site in accordance with all applicable safety regulations, specifically, MSHA and Knife River policies. Transport materials safely in varying weather, light and site conditions. Clearly and effectively communicate with fellow employees to relay and receive information. Ability to operate a 2.5” high pressure water hose, independently, for mobile equipment clean up and wash out duties.

To be successful in this position, you will need:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or
2. Up to one month related experience or training, or
3. Equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Driver’s license required.
5. Ensure OSHA, DOT, EPA, DNR, MSHA, Federal, State, and Local safety and environmental regulation compliance including attending training.
6. This position may require you to wear a half mask respirator at times and therefore, you will be required to be fit tested. Per OSHA “The Respiratory Protection standard, paragraph 29 CFR 1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A), states that respirators shall not be worn when facial hair comes between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interferes with valve function. Facial hair is allowed as long as it does not protrude under the respirator seal or extend far enough to interfere with the device's valve function. Short mustaches, sideburns, and small goatees that are neatly trimmed so that no hair compromises the seal of the respirator usually do not present a hazard and, therefore, do not violate paragraph 1910.134(g)(1)(i).

Typical hours during Production are M-F 4:30am-4:30pm. Saturdays (4:30am-10:30am) can vary depending on business need. Typical hours during Maintenance are M-Th 4:30am-2:30pm.
