Job Overview:

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated RN for our PACU at Community Medical Center.

Community Medical Center, is a 592-bed, fully accredited acute care hospital offering area residents world-class medical treatment with the comforts of hometown care. Opened in 1961, CMC has evolved into the state s newest teaching hospital with four residency programs and Ocean County s largest and most active health care facility caring for over 21,500 inpatients, 178,000 outpatients and 73,700 emergency department patients each year.

Qualifications:

Required:

• RN Degree
• NJ RN License
• PACU or Critical Care experience
• BLS & ACLS(American Heart Association)

Preferred:

• Specialty Certification
• PALS within 6 months
• BSN

Scheduling Requirements :

• 8:30a-7p 4 days/week
• On Call 5-6 days/month
• Work w/e & on call for holidays

Essential Functions:

• The RN is a direct patient caregiver for our Post Op patients and Moderate Sedation patients
• Providing patient care, based on physical, education, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients in assigned service
• Ongoing communication with patients and nursing colleagues regarding status of patient s care
• Participating in collaboration of our patient's plan of care & Post Op Pain Management
