About the role As a Safety Manager, you will be responsible for safety inspections and other safety services including implementing health and safety plans and education, enforcing policies, and evaluating practices and facilities to ensure compliance.
What your day-to-day will look like • Conduct training sessions, monitor compliance, investigate accidents, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Communicate guidelines to employees, report on health and safety issues, and, in partnership with others, develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace.
What we’re looking for • A bachelor’s degree in occupational safety/health OR related industry experience and 5+ years of safety management experience.
• OSHA 500 training certification preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Strong work ethic and team building skills.
• Strong understanding of safety in a construction environment.
• Proven record of strong written, verbal communication skills and presentation/training experience.
• Ability to effectively present to both an internal and external audience.
• Working knowledge of MS Office suite and other industry related programs.
