Safety Office Administrator
Department: Safety Job Status: Full-Time Reports to: Assistant Director of Safety
As a team member of the Carter Safety Department, you will be a part of Carter Express' competitive and lively work environment. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of all required records and documents with regard to safety and compliance. Necessary processes to complete job are trained.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION:
High School Diploma or GED required.
EXPERIENCE:
Must have strong organizational skills along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Must be self-sufficient and self-motivated. Possessing basic knowledge of FMCSR - Part 49 required.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficiency in Microsoft programs such as Word, Excel, and Outlook email required. Must have the ability to learn new programs as necessary. Prior experience with TMW is a plus.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Willingness to travel to satellite terminals when needed as determined by management. Solid work history and ability to positively respond during stressful situations to drivers and other departments along with successfully functioning in a team environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This position is an office position within our maintenance facility. You will have access to our maintenance facility as well as our cross-dock thus will need to follow all correct and proper PPE requirements set for entering these areas. Such as but not limited to, wearing a reflective vest, shirt, or jacket, and steel toe shoes or shoe coverings.
