Senior Database Administrator Description

We are seeking a remote Senior Database Administrator to join our team. You will play a crucial role in database administration and cloud migration. You will work closely with the team to ensure the seamless transition of databases to the cloud and provide ongoing support.

Responsibilities

• Manage and administer MySQL and PostgreSQL databases
• Migrate on-premise databases to Amazon RDS and other cloud platforms
• Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible
• Collaborate with the team to ensure successful cloud migration and ongoing database support
• Communicate effectively with the team and clients for seamless project execution

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a DBA, with expertise in MySQL and PostgreSQL administration
• At least 2 years of experience with Linux systems
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation
• Excellent communication skills for effective team collaboration and presentation skills for working with the clients
• Proficiency in English at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2 and higher)

Nice to have

• Good understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and/or GitLab
• Knowledge of MongoDB
