About The Role Title Nine is looking for a Senior Logistics & Inventory Control Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations, who will be responsible for driving all strategic aspects of Title Nine’s warehouse supply chain, managing carrier relationships , inventory control, and reverse logistics. This role requires leveraging analytics to ensure efficiency, manage operational costs, and implement innovation across warehousing, fulfillment, and product flow while increasing customer satisfaction.
The Senior Logistics & Inventory Control Manager is based out of our Richmond, CA warehouse with regular travel to our headquarters in Emeryville, CA.
What You’ll Do
- Build and manage strategic relationships with shipping carriers, negotiating contracts and service levels for optimal cost, speed and reliability
- Oversee all domestic inbound transportation, outbound parcel/LTL shipping and returns freight.
- Analyze service levels, transit times, and delivery exceptions; partner with Customer Service to reduce customer-impacting issues.
- Develop routing, packaging, and ship method strategies that balance cost and customer satisfaction
- Own and analyze total freight spend; identify drivers of cost increases and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor emerging logistics trends and implement solutions that improve efficiency and competitiveness
- Lead strategic decision-making in reverse logistics, focusing on customer experience, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
- Design and implement an inventory control strategy that reduces discrepancies, improves accuracy and strengthens operational efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Merchandising, Marketing and Finance to align inventory flow with demand forecasts and business needs
- Translate insights into actionable recommendations that improve service levels, reduce costs, and enhance operational agility
- Partner with the IT department to troubleshoot operational issues and drive technology enhancements, automation opportunities, and system improvements that increase scalability and efficiency
- Support peak-season operations, which may require occasional extended hours or weekend work
About You - Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or e-commerce fulfillment environment is required
- Direct experience with parcel carriers, including rate negotiation and performance evaluation, is required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to build cost models, business cases, and actionable insights
- Experience building or managing inventory control processes, including cycle counts and reconciliation
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google Suite , ERP, and WMS platforms
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
- Collaborative team player with the ability to build strong internal partnerships
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with managers, customers, contractors, peers, and vendors
- Demonstrated ability and desire to improve processes, contribute ideas, and adapt to change
