What does a successful Sr Web Engineer at Fiserv do?

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior React and Next.js Web Application Developer to join our team. You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance web applications using React and Next.js. Your expertise in front-end technologies and your ability to deliver exceptional user experiences will be vital to our success.

What You Will Do:

• You’ll build fast, reliable, and SEO-friendly web applications using React and Next.js.
• You’ll write clean, well-structured code and contribute to features that scale across multiple verticals like restaurants, retail, and services.
• You’ll work closely with senior engineers, designers, and product managers to bring ideas to life.
• You’ll help implement server-side rendering (SSR), static generation, and optimized routing with Next.js.
• You’ll contribute to component libraries and reusable UI patterns across our platform.
• You’ll debug, test, and improve performance to ensure a smooth and responsive user experience.
• You’ll participate in code reviews and continue learning best practices from your peers.

What You Will Need to Have:

• 4+ years of front-end development experience, with solid hands-on experience in React and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Familiarity with Next.js, including SSR, SSG, and dynamic routing.
• Experience working with TypeScript in real-world projects.
• Strong foundation in HTML, CSS, and responsive design techniques.
• Experience using CSS frameworks like Tailwind, SASS, or CSS-in-JS libraries.
• Exposure to writing unit and integration tests using tools like Jest or React Testing Library.
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or a related field), or equivalent practical experience.

What Would Be Great to Have:

• Experience with CI/CD tools and deploying on platforms like Vercel, Jenkins, or Argo.
• Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) and mobile-first design principles.
• Familiarity with UI/UX principles and working closely with design teams.
• Interest in improving developer experience through tooling or documentation.
• Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to a collaborative engineering team.
