Job Description

One of our clients is seeking a SharePoint Developer to lead the migration of an existing agency Drupal Intranet site to SharePoint and assist in establishing SharePoint governance for future agency sites. This role requires a hands-on SharePoint development expert with strong communication skills who can assess, plan, and execute the migration while mentoring content owners and documenting governance standards.

This position is primarily remote , but candidates must pick up equipment in person and may be required to work on-site as needed . Local Richmond candidates are strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the migration of the agency’s Drupal-based Intranet site to SharePoint .
  
• Work with IT and Business stakeholders to assess existing functionality and requirements for the new SharePoint site.
  
• Develop a migration roadmap and implementation plan for a smooth transition.
  
• Identify and document the architecture and design of the new SharePoint Intranet site.
  
• Develop or migrate existing features and functionality from Drupal to SharePoint.
  
• Provide training and mentorship to Division content owners on how to manage their content in SharePoint.
  
• Assist in establishing SharePoint governance processes to ensure standardization and best practices across the agency.
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 7+ years of hands-on, recent SharePoint development experience
  
• 7+ years of strong verbal and written communication skills
  
• 1+ years of experience with Drupal 7 (Highly Desired)
