Role Summary As a Sr. Warehouse Associate, you are responsible for material handling including inbound, outbound, inventory, and repackaging activities. You will foster a safe working environment, maintain organized cleanliness, and provide feedback on improvement opportunities. Responsibilities - Load and unload delivery vehicles- Repackage materials to meet the distribution requirements for Service Parts- Operate several types of powered equipment (forklift, stock chaser, etc.)- Identify inventory concerns based on quantity or quality discrepancies- Provide input into safety, quality, and throughput opportunities- Understand and utilize standard work- Maintain the proper use of equipment- Support general material handling request from leadership and team members- Participate in group efforts to foster an environment based on continuous improvement Qualifications - High School diploma or an equivalent education preferred- 2-4 years of experience performing picking, packing, shipping, receiving, and forklift operating in a Warehouse or Distribution Center environment (preferred)- Prior experience in a warehouse environment (automotive preferred)- Previous forklift experience (Raymond MHE preferred)- Comfortable with operating an order picker (Cherry Picker) above floor level- Ability to understand tasks and responsibilities- Knowledge of LEAN practices (5s, Identify Waste, Process Improvements)- Led or participated in a continuous improvement project- Basic computer skills with working knowledge in Microsoft Office- Understanding and compliant to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) guidelines- Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day- Frequent use of hands to handle materials up to 50 lbs.- Required to stoop and kneel to retrieve materials up to 50 lbs. under select racking or floor pile locations- Required to communicate using telephone or email- Ability to view, read, and interpret documents, safety rules, and standard operating procedures- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.- Ability to perform all duties in the warehouse that may contain dust, high noise, hot and cold weather- Flexible work schedule Equal OpportunityRivian is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
