Street Maintenance Position - City of Fort Pierre

The City of Fort Pierre is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our team as a Street Maintenance worker. This position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our city streets, sidewalks, and public right-of-ways. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in street maintenance or a related field, as well as a strong work ethic and a commitment to serving the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repairing potholes and cracks in city streets
• Cleaning and maintaining sidewalks and curbs
• Operating and maintaining street sweeping equipment
• Assisting with snow removal during winter months
• Assisting with special projects and events as needed

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in street maintenance or a related field
• SD Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain on within 180 days of employment
• Ability to lift objects weighing 75lbs and work in various weather conditions
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
