Job Overview:

As a Trucking Dispatcher, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the fleet, including route planning, dispatching drivers, managing schedules, and interacting with vendors, clients, and internal employees. You will ensure that all deliveries are completed on time while maintaining open communication and effective coordination between various parties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Dispatch trucks, drivers and installation crews for pickups, deliveries and jobs, ensuring the most efficient routes and schedules.

- Monitor and manage real-time location data of trucks, crews and forklifts using GPS tracking software to ensure timely deliveries and track any delays.

- Communicate clearly with drivers, clients, vendors, and internal teams regarding schedules, routes, and delivery updates.

- Update and maintain records for all dispatched loads and completed deliveries.

- Handle client and vendor inquiries or concerns, offering timely solutions and resolving issues as they arise.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all aspects of dispatching and scheduling.

- Collaborate with other departments to address any operational issues or changes to delivery schedules.

- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other software tools to generate reports, track deliveries, and manage schedules.

- Continuously monitor traffic patterns and adjust routes as needed to ensure on-time delivery.

Skills and Qualifications:

- Fluent in English and Spanish (bilingual required).

- 12 months office experience or higher education in lieu of experience.

- Ability to work well in a team environment.

- Proven experience in trucking dispatch or a similar logistics role preferred.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, GPS tracking software, and other scheduling and logistics software.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.

- Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with stressful or time-sensitive situations.

- Strong problem-solving abilities and a detail-oriented mindset.

- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices is a plus.
