Our team is comprised of a dynamic group of product designers, researchers, visual designers, industrial designers, modelers, and project managers. **In this position...** We are looking for an exceptionally gifted UI/UX professional who is obsessed with exploring and advancing the latest interactive design trends, hardware capabilities and technologies. On the electrification team, we strive to create the "first EV that anyone can understand," crafting simple designs across mobile and in-vehicle experiences. In this role, you must be able to envision the big picture while also rolling up your sleeves to perfect the smallest project details. You will create compelling and thoughtful in-vehicle and mobile user experiences with a focus on clean and artful design and where it seamlessly integrates with in-vehicle hardware technology. **This role is in office 4 days/week in Palo Alto California** **What you'll do...** + Leading the design of features and improvements of our products ensuring they align with business objectives and user needs. + Using Figma and UX tools to develop vehicle features and compelling user experiences. + Taking ownership of independent tracks of design work and managing timelines and deliverables. + Developing and iterating user flows, mock-ups and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas. + Applying data driven insights to inform design decisions and measure the impact of design changes. + Expressing our brand vision through user interface design for in-vehicle experiences. + Executing designs with a keen sensibility to layout, color, typography and interactive behavior. + Exhibiting a passion for emerging hardware and software technologies, new interaction models, product design, and excellence in visual design. + Collaborating close with Product Management, Engineering and Feature Teams to ensure a seamless transition from concept to implementation. + Employing a systematic approach to solving large, complex design challenges. **What you'll have...** + Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience + 3+ years experience working across a triad of designers, engineers and product + 1+ years experience collaborating with Product Requirement Documents (PRD's) + Demonstrated experience with end-to-end design work required + High performing prototyping abilities (e.g. Figma, ProtoPie or similar) + Proof-points/experience owning work from ideation to delivery. This includes experience working directly with Engineering & Product Management teams to deliver design files, design assets, and documentation required to produce a launch-able product. + Proven experience collaborating with Engineering teams to solve development issues through design, monitoring customer feedback and product analytics, and refining design in response to incoming feedback and data. + Experience working in Jira, owning tasks that map to delivery stage for engineering + Experience with iteratively designing a product in production based on usage and customer feedback You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
