In this role, you will:

  • Assist each department with updating and posting volunteer opportunities.
  • Source and recruit volunteers through different channels. Build, maintain, and track pipelines.
  • Manage background checks, database, and onboarding.
  • Assist with creating and tracking metrics and generating reports.
  • Work closely with the Chief Program Officer and Development team for community outreach and engagement.
  • Communicate regularly with each department-designated person and volunteers to ensure the placement fits both parties well.
  • Assist with feedback surveys and continuously look for opportunities to improve and enhance the volunteer program.
  • Organize a regular schedule of communications with volunteers through email and other channels to ensure volunteers remain connected and are aware of all opportunities to participate at BCNC.
  • Coordinate volunteer recognition and appreciation events and activities.
  • Maintain files, records, applications, and other data concerning the volunteer program.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the Human Resources Manager, Chief Program Officer, and Chief Development Officer.

What We Look For:

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of professional experience working with volunteers.
  • Experience in community outreach and engagement, with the ability to work comfortably and directly with diverse communities and individuals.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, related software (ADP or Civicore), or volunteer management software.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple tasks and responsibilities.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation package
  • Comprehensive health coverage, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance
  • Retirement plan options with employer-matching
  • Enhanced paid time off offerings for personal days, sick, vacation, and holidays
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth
  • Flexible work arrangements

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work a flexible schedule and may require local travel during the workday.
  • Work is performed primarily in a standard work environment, including the operation of computer equipment, and physical demands associated with a traditional work setting, e.g., walking, standing, communicating, and other physical functions, as necessary.

Please Note:

You must be authorized to work in the United States. BCNC does not provide sponsorship for an employment work visa.
